Cape Winelands, South Africa

Set on a 50-hectare farm in South Africa’s Cape Winelands, Sterrekopje Farm is a wellness retreat founded by Dutch couple Fleur Huijskens and Nicole Boekhoorn. Wellness is woven throughout the stay, from yoga and breathwork to energy-balancing therapies and immersive healing rituals. Guests spend their days moving between the Bath House, Soul Shed, gardens, boating lake, and swimming pool. The retreat embraces slow living, regenerative practices, and a deep connection to nature.

Interior designer Gregory Mellor transformed the restored 17th-century Cape Dutch homestead into a retreat rich in texture, craftsmanship, and warmth, now housing just 11 suites. The estate’s biodiverse gardens were created in collaboration with acclaimed landscape gardener and botanist Leon Kluge.

Most of the food is sourced directly from its biodiverse gardens, which implements regenerative farming practices to maintain the biodiverse land. The rich and seasonal menus reflect the retreat’s close connection between wellbeing and nature.
